Contaminated Site Analysis

Cleanup criteria for contaminated sites have changed since the passage of RCRA and CERCLA Acts. Initially site cleanup activities focused on soil and groundwater levels achieving background levels or non-detect limits. Current remediation trends are based on risk based assessments to determine cleanup levels. This puts increasing importance on laboratory test data that is not only highly accurate and precise but legally defensible. In order to meet these stringent requirements, you must start at the beginning of the analytical process, which is proper sample collection.

Proper sample collection is one of the key elements to generating accurate and reliable test results. If you decide to collect the samples yourself, QCE can provide you with proper sampling instructions, approved containers with preservatives, coolers, and sample chain of custody forms. If you need 3rd party sampling, QCE can provide a qualified technician to collect soil, groundwater and waste samples. We can prevent cross contamination of samples by utilizing disposable Teflon bailers and dedicated peristaltic pumps to bail out the wells and collect ground waters samples.

Once the samples arrive at the lab, QCE insures accurate and precise test results by maintaining our State laboratory certification and adhering to our laboratory quality system. In cases where you require results as soon as possible, we can provide you with quick response turnaround.
